- ―Black Widow[src]

Androvich served as an assassin for the KGB before becoming the Russian Minister of Defense.[1]
A young Natasha Romanoff was recruited into the KGB, where she learned some of her skills, such as the usage of a particular substance to poison a beverage causing its consumer to feel sick.[2]
Upset after learning that S.H.I.E.L.D. was infiltrated by HYDRA, Romanoff told Steve Rogers that she felt that she left the KGB to join HYDRA, instead of S.H.I.E.L.D.
In the wake of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s collapse, many files were declassified which contained information about both S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA. One of these was produced by the KGB, and had information on the Winter Soldier. Natasha Romanoff was able to obtain the file, which was being stored in Kiev, and handed it to Rogers so he could find more about what his friend went through at the hands of HYDRA, and where he might have headed following his defection from the terrorist group.[3]
Rosalind Price compared what she saw as Phil Coulson's tactics of intimidation, having staked out her route home, to the KGB, only for Coulson to point out her own experience in working with Russian counterintelligence.[4]
Trivia
