"Do I look like the Director to you?"
―Julian to Izel[src]

Agent Julian is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent under Alphonso Mackenzie's directorship.

Discussing Wrapped Realities

Julian was one of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who worked under Alphonso Mackenzie as the Director of the agency. He took part in the S.H.I.E.L.D. investigation on some anomalies which caused reality warps across the globe, and when asked by his colleague More whether Jemma Simmons had an explanation to it, Julian reminded him that Simmons was on a mission in space and that the anomalies had begun after she had left.[1]

Rescue of Deke Shaw

Julian later joined a S.H.I.E.L.D. squad which was rerouted after they were informed by Trevor Khan of the attack on Deke Shaw. Julian was left in charge of Shaw but unintentionally let him escape from the Quinjet while he called the base to confirm whether Shaw was a priority subject or not.[2]

Izel's Infiltration

"There seems to be a malfunction with the door. It won't open."
"Not a malfunction. You don't have clearance here. It's top-level only. Keeps out people who have a history of stealing S.H.I.E.L.D. tech for profit."

Julian blocks "Deke Shaw" from entering a room

In the aftermath of an apparent S.H.I.E.L.D. victory over Izel, Julian was left guarding the room where the Gravity Containment Device was kept in the Lighthouse. Upon seeing Shaw approaching and trying to enter the room, Julian informed him that he was not allowed to access the room due to lacking the proper clearance level, and recalled that Shaw had an history of stealing from S.H.I.E.L.D. for profit. He then told Shaw that only Director Mackenzie could open the door; however, Julian was unaware that he had actually delivered the information to Izel, who was possessing Shaw at the time.[3]
