After the death of her husband at her own hand, Whitney Frost took shelter with Joseph Manfredi. Closing herself off in her room, Frost went through multiple calculations to get Zero Matter. This caused Manfredi to think that he was losing the Frost that he loved. He had a talk with his Nonna before going to Howard Stark's Estate. Manfredi and the SSR struck a truce and he allowed the agents into his estate. Manfredi distracted Frost by making her intimidate his employee while Peggy Carter and Daniel Sousa took pictures of Frost's calculations. When Frost returned, she thought something was wrong, but went back to her work. Eventually, Frost felt the presence of the Zero Matter.[1]
