John D. Armbruster was a Strategic Operations Command Center soldier who was killed while ambushing Hulk.
Biography[]
Ambush in Porto Verde[]
Armbruster was sent on a mission to Rocinha along with the Strategic Operations Command Center to kill Bruce Banner. The group, led by Emil Blonsky, chased Banner into the Pingo Doce Bottling Plant where Ambruster put on night vision goggles. Armbruster and Samuel LaRoquette watched as Banner mutated into a green monster. They charged at Banner and shot rounds upon rounds of tranquilizer darts at the target only to watch it fall off his back, unable to penetrate the skin. The big Hulk then turned around and ran at Armbruster and LaRoquette, picking them up and throwing Ambruster back at the rest of the SOCC, killing him on impact.[1]

- Expert Marksman: Armbruster used a tranquilizer rifle to shoot many rounds into Hulk's back only to watch them bounce off the skin.

- Tranquilizer Rifle: Under orders to capture instead of kill, Armbruster used a tranquilizer rifle against Hulk. However, the darts merely bounced off of Hulk's impenetrable skin.

- Night Vision Goggles: In order to see in the dark, Armbruster wore night vision goggles to find Hulk.
- Bulletproof Vest: Armbruster wore a cevlar lined vest to protect himself from Bruce Banner.
