The Jeep is an American vehicle. Initially produced during World War II for the United States Armed Forces, it was later sold to civilian markets and used by S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA.
History
World War II

During the fights in the Philippines, the US Army soldier Rufus Hunt was captured by the Imperial Japanese Army. The Japanese tortured him by having his fingers tied to a jeep and dragging him around for hours, although he never broke.[1]
Attack on the HYDRA Research Base
When the Avengers arrived at Sokovia to retrieve the Scepter from Wolfgang von Strucker, Black Widow stole one of HYDRA's jeeps so she and Hawkeye could fight the HYDRA soldiers and move around faster.
When all the Avengers regrouped to attack the HYDRA soldiers, Black Widow crashed the jeep as she and Hawkeye jumped out to continue fighting on foot.
During the battle, Captain America performed a backflip with his motorcycle, throwing it at a Jeep filled with HYDRA soldiers, causing it to crash.[2]
