Jay is a corrupt police officer of the Los Angeles Police Department.

LAPD Task Squad[]
Jay was a member of the corrupt LAPD task force on PRIDE's payroll under AWOL's leadership. Along with rest of the group, he drove to the supposed location of the Hostel that had been revealed by Livvie, although they were unable to find the underground mansion because of Nico Minoru's spell.
When Alex Wilder appeared on top of the hill, Jay aimed at him with his weapon and handed over a rifle to AWOL. As Wilder returned inside the Hostel, Jay gave AWOL a backpack so he could follow him. However, it turned out to be a trap as AWOL was captured by the Runaways. Jay and his colleagues attempted to ram the door of the Hostel, which was still protected by Minoru, until AWOL instructed them to stop as he had been forced by the Runaways.
Once the spell cast by Minoru was lifted, Jay and the strike team broke into the Hostel and quickly set AWOL free. They then chased the Runaways and were able to corner Wilder, Karolina Dean and an unconscious Minoru in a room. They prepared to shoot them down, but Minoru regained consciousness, and Jay instantly vanished after she cast a powerful spell which caused the entire strike team to disappear.[1]
