Biography[]

Missing in Action[]

"I know how you feel, Peter. Since we lost Hope's mom, our home hasn't felt the same either."
Hank Pym to Peter Quill[src]

Janet van Dyne served as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent with her husband Hank Pym, while raising their daughter Hope. Van Dyne was very close to her daughter and the two listened a lot to her Walkman, with Corey Hart's "Never Surrender" being one of her favorite songs. During one of their missions, van Dyne disappeared and was considered missing in action, which made Pym quit S.H.I.E.L.D. and soured his relationship with Hope.[1]
