Jan was a citizen who guarded the Tesseract in Tønsberg, Norway.

Following the instructions of his ally Erik,[3] Jan raced to Castle Rock Tower to warn the Church Keeper once he noticed that Johann Schmidt and his army invaded Tønsberg, Norway, in March 1942, as Schmidt learned the location of the mythical Tesseract. Jan was killed by falling debris when the church wall was knocked over.[1]
