For alternate versions of James Davis, see James Davis' Character Hub

"You should be able to drive better, you're a damn computer."
"I know, but either they changed the signs or you programmed me a little stupider so you could feel superior for once."
"I swear on all things holy, you were always this stupid."
Piper and James Davis LMD[src]

Agent James Davis is the Life-Model Decoy of the real James Davis created by Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons using Chronicom technology.

Biography[]

Creation[]

"Although, Piper, I think, is questioning her choice."
"About taking on the assignment?"
"No. The choice she made when you and Simmons asked her what she wanted for a reward."
Yo-Yo Rodriguez and Leo Fitz[src]

When Jemma Simmons promised to give Piper anything she wanted for protecting her daughter, Piper asked Simmons to bring back James Davis, having learned of Phil Coulson being resurrected as an advanced Life-Model Decoy of himself. Simmons and Leo Fitz gladly complied with the request and built another advanced LMD, which they were able to restore Davis' mind to put into it. Once they finished building him, they activated Davis, who continued to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, working alongside Piper and Yo-Yo Rodriguez on missions, still under Alphonso Mackenzie's leadership.[2]

Tracking an 0-8-4[]

"Don't slow down, Davis. I'll see you on the other side of the compound."
Yo-Yo Rodriguez to James Davis[src]

One year later, Davis, Yo-Yo Rodriguez and Piper were sent on a mission to intercept an 0-8-4 drop-off in Los Angeles, where Davis and Piper argued about his driving, having not reached the location yet. Davis defended himself, even accusing Piper of programming him to be dumber, but she insisted that he was always dumb. Rodriguez told Davis to not slow down, as she proceeded to exit the car and run to the compound.[2]

Personality[]

Although he became an Android, Davis' personality remained intact exactly like the original Davis, as demonstrated when he kept his sarcasm and his usual quarrels with Piper, asking him, for example, if they changed the signs for driving or if he had planned more stupid and idiotic to feel superior, but Piper told him that even as a human he was incredibly stupid.

Powers[]

  • Android/Chronicom Physiology: Being an android, the Chronicom LMD Davis's physiology far exceeds what he could do as his human self.
    • Superhuman Strength: Being an android, Davis' strength is outmatched as he could easily perform great feats of strength.
    • Superhuman Durability: Davis' mechnical body also allows him to take impacts and physical blows while withstanding them.
    • Superhuman Stamina: Without a need to breath, Davis could perform at his highest without becoming tired.
    • Enhanced Reflexes: In addition to strength, Davis also has great reflexes, helpng him swiftly drive Piper and Yo-Yo Rodriguez without crashing.
    • Enhanced Vision: With machnical eyeballs, Davis' vision is very good as opposed to biological eyeballs.
    • Longevity: Once becoming an android, Davis' was stuck in the appearance of himself before his death, meaning he would look like he previously did for the rest of his unnatural life. He also could only die with a switch.
    • Pain Immunity: Davis cannot feel pain either as he had no pain receptors or brain.
    • Computer Interaction: Davis can also interact with computers very well as part of the Chronicom technology that was used to build him.
