Detective James Connors is a police officer who helped Tyrone Johnson to become a police officer himself.
Biography[]
James Connors found Billy and Tyrone Johnson with a stolen car radio. Believing Billy to have stolen it, Connors chased the two near the docks, where he was about to shoot Billy. However, Tyrone noticed a young girl in the water and dived in to save her, which stopped Connors from acting against Billy. Connors became a mentor to Tyrone, who eventually entered the police academy to join the New Orleans Police Department.
Connors attended the party thrown by the Johnson family for Tyrone's graduation, although he arrived late. Everyone expressed their happiness to see him, and Tandy Bowen finished her toast. Connors congratulated Otis Johnson for his son's achievement, and Otis returned the congratulations, telling Connors how much he meant to Tyrone.[1]
