Befriending Steven Grant[]
- "Hey, J.B., how you doin', mate?"
"How's it going, Scotty?"

"They're adorable, mate." - ―Steven Grant and J.B.[src]

J.B. working at the National Art Gallery
J.B. began working at the National Art Gallery as a security guard, and became acquainted with an employee of the museum, Steven Grant, although J.B. believed his name to be Scotty. Grant passed J.B. while leaving the museum and greeted J.B., who referred to Grant as Scotty. Grant corrected him, but J.B. ignored him, so Grant left.

Several days later, J.B. watched a video of otters on his phone. Three and a half minutes into the video, Grant rushed into the museum and greeted J.B., and they briefly talked about the otter video. Grant told J.B. that he was being followed and asked him not to let anyone in. J.B. said that it would not be possible, since they were in a museum, prompting Grant to amend his statement and ask that J.B. not allow anyone in who appeared suspicious. J.B. again said that it would not be possible since the museum was free for the public, and the conversation was interrupted by Donna Kraft, who asked Grant to get to work. J.B. received a phone call from his mother, and told Grant that he had to answer it. Despite Grant's pleas, J.B. said that he had to answer the phone and took the call, walking away.[1]
Checking Surveillance[]

"Shh. I don't..."
"Mate! Oh, God. Larry in Maintenance is gonna absolutely shoot you." - ―J.B. and Steven Grant[src]
The next day, J.B. put up security tape as the National Art Gallery became a crime scene due to the bathroom being destroyed. He greeted Steven Grant as he entered the museum, and Grant said that he had information about what happened, so J.B. hesitantly allowed Grant to watch the security footage.

Despite Grant's insistence that J.B. would see something disturbing, J.B. only saw Grant running through the museum and toward the bathroom, confusing Grant. Grant insisted that he had been attacked by an Egyptian jackal, but J.B. did not believe him. As they continued to look, Grant saw himself look straight into the camera and said that person wasn't him. J.B. then reported Grant's theft, forcing Grant to tender his resignation from the museum.[2]
Personality[]
- "I swear to God, there was a dog chasing me, like a big hound, or–"
"Hound of the Baskervilles, was it?" - ―Steven Grant and J.B.[src]
J.B. is a very lackadaisical person, which is demonstrated as he watches videos on his phone while working, and taking a phone call from his mother during work hours. He does not care to learn the names of his co-workers. He also shows little concern for Steven Grant when he says that he is being followed.
