Just A Rather Very Intelligent System (J.A.R.V.I.S.) is an artificial intelligence who assists Tony Stark while he's in the Mark III Iron Man Armor.
Biography[]
Helping Tony Stark's Mission[]
Attack on the Ten Rings Base[]
Tony Stark returned home from being kidnapped and told J.A.R.V.I.S. that his captors had access to Stark Industries weapons, so J.A.R.V.I.S. asked how to rectify it. Stark said that he would ask the Ten Rings and told J.A.R.V.I.S. to bring him to the Ten Rings Base. J.A.R.V.I.S. agreed and suggested that Stark avoid flying into the mesosphere. As Stark fought the Ten Rings, J.A.R.V.I.S. reported that the Ten Rings had taken control of the area. J.A.R.V.I.S. asked if Stark had an ulterior motive in getting revenge, but Stark denied it.[1]
Chase of Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar[]
J.A.R.V.I.S. followed the heat signatures of the members of the Ten Rings and found them retreating north, reporting as such to Tony Stark. Stark fought several Ten Rings forces, then J.A.R.V.I.S. accessed Interpol's data and learned that Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar, Stark's target, was found unconscious in his hideout. This led J.A.R.V.I.S. and Stark to realize that Obadiah Stane was responsible for selling weapons to the Ten Rings. J.A.R.V.I.S. called Potts for Stark, but did not receive an answer, so Stark had J.A.R.V.I.S. call James Rhodes instead.
Stark saved Potts and stopped Stane, and J.A.R.V.I.S. recommended that Stark dispose of the Mark I armor more appropriately.[1]
Personality[]
J.A.R.V.I.S. was an artificial intelligence who was programmed with a sarcastic personality by Tony Stark. When Stark asked if J.A.R.V.I.S. thought something, J.A.R.V.I.S. simply responded that he does not think. He also commented on being angry about Stark consistently interrupted him, but suggested that since he was a machine, he would not be able to be angry. He was loyal to Stark and cared about him, trying to get Stark to admit that he was motivated partly by vengeance in his pursuit of the Ten Rings.
