"We agreed that these rogues were all mindless fools, right? So I gave them a higher purpose."
Izel[src]

Izel's Crew was a group led by Izel with the objective to regain the Di'Allas that were stolen from her, destroying several planets along the way with the Shrike.

History[]

Destruction of Chronyca-2[]

"I went to their homeworld. But I was attacked, and my crew was killed. The whole planet was destroyed."
Izel[src]

Izel took her followers to Chronyca-2 after the planet had been invaded by the Shrike and was on the verge of destruction. However, they were unable to find the Di'Allas Izel was after, and they were attacked by Sarge's squad who had hunted them down. Although all of her crewmates were killed, Izel was able to escape thanks to her powers, but found herself in need of a new crew[1], as well as a spaceship, since she was only able to salvage the Phase Harmonic Teleportation Device from her previous spacecraft.[2]

Recruiting a New Crew[]

"Whatever planet you're going to, it will probably be foreign to Fitz and I."
"Our knowledge is mostly Earth-based."
"Did you think it was luck that I saved the lives of two Terrans?"
Jemma Simmons, Leo Fitz and Izel[src]

Continuing her search for the Di'Allas, which she had learned were on Earth, Izel arrived on the planet of Kitson. She went to the House of Games, hoping to find some people to recruit. She began interviewing Wayne, who denied the offer as he was more interested in taking pleasure with Izel rather than joining her crew. Later, Izel learned that Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons, who she had previously seen appear in the House of Games, were from Earth. She thus stepped in as they were on the verge of being executed by Mister Kitson, and paid him so that he would rig the execution, causing the death of Wayne while Fitz and Simmons were spared.

Izel explained to Fitz and Simmons that she had saved their lives to enlist their assistance in finding valuable artifacts that were on Earth, with their scientific knowledge being valuable to her. Since Fitz and Simmons desired nothing more but to return to their home planet, they agreed to join Izel's crew. Later, Fitz and Simmons guided Izel to Boyle and Toad, who had previously seized the Lazy Comet from them. Promising to pay them well, Izel recruited them as well, and instructed them to prepare the spaceship for a journey to Earth, although Boyle doubted that the Lazy Comet could endure such a trip.[2]

Heading to Earth[]

"Excuse me, Mr. Boyle? Have you seen Izel? Has she given anyone on your crew any landing coordinates? Or did you ever find Mr. Toad? Was that strange?"
"They were born strange. Haven't you noticed?"
Jemma Simmons and Leo Fitz[src]

Izel, now with a fully replenished crew after she recruited several other members, had Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons prepare the Phase Harmonic Teleportation Device to get the Lazy Comet to Earth. She ignored the warnings from Boyle and Toad, who claimed that they were all most likely to die in the attempt, and ordered them to leave the bridge, choosing to trust Fitz's experience with the spaceship instead. Izel then activated the teleportation device, which operated normally without damaging the ship and without the crew noticing the transport. As a result, the Lazy Comet peacefully arrived near thr Moon, with Earth in sight.

With her destination being close, Izel decided that she no longer needed her crew to operate the Lazy Comet, leaving only Fitz and Simmons to repair the spaceship's communication systems. She then hatched several Shrike and had them possess the other crewmates, including Toad, and later Boyle, although the latter had guessed that something was off aboard the spaceship.[1] Barring Fitz and Simmons, the crew thus completely fell under Izel's influence. Their strange behavior was noticed by Fitz and Simmons, who figured out that Izel was responsible, but she assured them she would never have them suffer the same fate.

Once the Shrike Tower on Earth was destroyed, Izel correctly feared that Sarge had gotten ahead of her and instructed Boyle to take the Lazy Comet back to the upper atmosphere. Later, after she had a conversation with Sarge during which Fitz and Simmons had recognized Phil Coulson's voice, Izel accused them of having conspired against her and order two crewmates to seize them. However, they were able to disarm them and fled, causing Izel to send the crew after them. During their search, the crew was confronted by a S.H.I.E.L.D. team who had infiltrated the spaceship.

Several of the crewmates were therefore repelled by James Davis and Jaco. Boyle and Toad were able to find where Fitz and Simmons were hiding, but they were handcuffed to a pipe by Yo-Yo Rodriguez, thus preventing them from bringing Fitz and Simmons to Izel. The crew then seized the Quinjet that had been used by S.H.I.E.L.D., forcing them to find another way out. They then lost the S.H.I.E.L.D. team as Jaco was able to use the Spray Paint Transporter to make them return on Earth. Moments later, the crew saw Jaco reappearing with the Atom Bomb in his hand. They moved to attack him, but Jaco breathed fire at them and caused the bomb to detonate, destroying the Lazy Comet and exterminating the crew.[3]
