The Iron Man Armor: Mark XXX, codenamed Blue Steel, was Tony Stark's thirtieth Iron Man suit and was a prototype version of the Mark XXXIII. The Mark XXX was able to endure long periods of time without running out of power. It was a part of the Iron Legion and was destroyed during the Clean Slate Protocol.
History[]
The Blue Steel Armor was summoned, along with the rest of the Iron Legion, to help Tony Stark and James Rhodes during their fight against Aldrich Killian and his Extremis Soldiers. During the course of the fight, a number of armors were destroyed, though they eventually managed to eliminate all of the Extremis Soldiers. At the end of the battle, the remaining suits that were not destroyed by Extremis Soldiers were destroyed when Stark activated the Clean Slate Protocol, including the Mark XXX.[2]
Capabilities[]
The Mark XXX can go for long periods of time without recharging. It has blades hidden in the arms that can be used in battle, a design first seen in the Mark XVI which was then carried over to the Mark XXXIII.
