The Mark XLI (also known as the Bones Armor) is one of the new Iron Man armors created by Tony Stark and is one of the Iron Legion. Notably, it was the last Iron Man Armor Tony Stark wore before he destroyed all of his suits using the Clean Slate Protocol .
History
The Bones armor was created after the battle of New York by Tony Stark. Part of the Iron Legion, Bones Armor was used by Iron Man and War Machine during their battle against Aldrich Killian and his Extremis soldiers. It sepparated into several parts which flew inedependantly, hitting several foes at once and then reassembling. It was later destroyed either by the Extremis soldiers or the Clean Slate Protocol. [1]
Abilities
It is a black and gold, lighter version of a full Iron Man suit, with a focus on speed and maneuverability. This armor has indentations and open areas in it, making the pieces of the armor fit into place and function seamlessly and giving the user more physical capabilities than most suits. Also, other pieces of armor can assemble to the base of the suit.[1]
