Attempted Sunday Dinners[]
First Attempt[]
- "I'll make sure the food's camera ready."
"Don't make me put you in a force field next." - ―Johnny Storm and Sue Storm[src]
The Fantastic Four agreed to host a documentary crew at one of their Sunday dinners to see what their life was like. As the documentary crew arrived, the four were still running behind, so Storm briefly introduced herself but then turned invisible as she had to go as something had come up. She called to Reed Richards, who was setting the table, that they needed forks.
That night as they all sat down for dinner, Johnny Storm went to get the food early, so Sue put a forcefield around it and threatened to do the same to Johnny, who complained about being hungry. Sue sat down with Reed Richards as Ben Grimm came over with one of his aunt's recipes, telling Johnny to be patient. Richards used his elasticity to pass the mashed potatoes to Sue, who used a forcefield to place the potatoes next to her. Sue remembered to check on something, when suddenly an explosion happened, and an alarm went off. Storm said that the interview would have to wait and stood up, realizing that they were under attack. The team all stood up and fought off their attackers.[2]
Second Attempt[]
The next, the documentary crew returned with the hopes of filming Sunday dinner this time. They interviewed Storm about Reed Richards, leading her to say that people tended not to realize how thoughtful Richards was. That night, the Fantastic Four all sat down for dinner again, but as Ben Grimm placed his food down, there was another explosion and alarm.[3]
Third Attempt[]
The documentary crew returned the following Sunday for a third attempt. Storm introduced herself to the cameras and apologized, calling it a habit. She explained that she was going to an important meeting with various world leaders and thanked them for agreeing to interview her in the elevator. She said that her codename should make her powers obvious. She further addressed the irony of being called Invisible Woman while being a member of one of the most famous families in the world, but explained that their publicity allowed them to truly help people.
As they exited the elevator, Storm noted several Fantastic Four fans outside and said that while she would normally take time to greet them, she could not be late to the meeting. She turned invisible and walked away, talking to the camera crew and saying that invisibility could be useful. She made herself visible while the camera crew struggled to follow her, telling the crew to hurry up and not keep the world leaders waiting.
The documentary crew filmed Storm as she surrounded her Johnny Storm|brother in a force field, snuffing his flames, and later as she used a forcefield to lift herself and Ben Grimm into the air. They later filmed her using her invisibility to grab Reed Richards' arm unsuspectingly and place it around her shoulder, making herself visible again.
That night, the Fantastic Four sat together for dinner, but another explosion went off, triggering an alarm. Storm told the documentary crew that they knew what to do, ending the interview until the danger could be contained. The team all stood up and fought off the danger.[4]
