Ingrid was a member of the Black Widows who was trained by Melina Vostokoff. As Ingrid grew up, she watched a movie on the famous hero, Captain Carter. Like others, she dreamed of growing up to be like Carter.[1]
Ingrid and the widows accompanied Vostokoff down to the KGB Sokovian Base to confront former black widow, Natasha Romanoff, as well as Captain Carter and Hydra Stomper. Ingrid watched as Hydra Stomper reverted back to his Red Room-controlled state as Vostokoff explained her fascination with Captain Carter. Under Vostokoff's orders, the widows attacked.
Along with others, Ingrid opened fire of Romanoff, who hid behind the gazebo. The gazebo soon collapsed, revealing that Romanoff had run away, making them have to follow. Climbing up onto the roof, Ingrid continued to chase but was stopped when Carter caused the water tower to fall between the widows and Romanoff. The widows soon unloaded their weapons on a house, suspecting Romanoff to be hiding, in which they were right.
Kicking the door down, they walked in, only to be ambushed by a hiding Romanoff. Initially, Romanoff got the upper hand, but she was soon overwhelmed by the widows, who kicked her outside and starting punching. Vostokoff, who was watching, reminded Ingrid to straighten her back. She then gave tips on Romanoff's weaknesses. Suddenly, Romanoff jumped away and grabbed a robot arm, allowing her access to the widow stingers inside. Ingrid was incapacitated by these stingers, as was all of the other widows. When Ingrid gained her bearings, the Red Room Academy collapsed along with Vostokoff.[1]
As a Black Widow, Ingrid was trained to become an incredibly skilled fighter, which she used to knock down Natasha Romanoff. However, she still needed reminding from Melina Vostokoff to straighten her back.
Master Marksman: Another part of her training was to use guns very effectively, which allowed her to chase after Natasha Romanoff while opening fire.
