Ingrid was a trained assassin who became an operative of the Red Room, and worked under General Dreykov as a member of the Black Widows. In 2016, she was assigned alongside Yelena Belova to retrieve the Red Dust antigen in Morocco. When Belova was exposed to the Red Dust and betrayed the Widows, Ingrid was sent again to Budapest to acquire it, but was critically injured after sustaining a fall while chasing Natasha Romanoff. Finding no use for her anymore, Dreykov forced Ingrid to commit suicide by shooting herself in the head with a Widow Bite.

As a young girl, Ingrid was taken from her family when Dreykov selected her to become an assassin for the Red Room.[1]
Attack on the Red Dust Cell[]
In 2016, Ingrid was sent to Morocco alongside Yelena Belova and several other Black Widows to retrieve a substance that could liberate the Widows from Dreykov's mind control called the Red Dust. During the mission, Belova was freed from her mind control when her assassination target Oksana used the Red Dust on her. When Ingrid requested Belova's status report, Belova cut out the tracker in her skin and went dark.
This led Ingrid to order a convergence on Belova, and to contact Dreykov and inform him of Belova's desertion and asked for permission to activate the Taskmaster Protocol.[1]
Chase for the Red Dust[]
Taskmaster led Ingrid and several other Black Widows when they managed to track down the Red Dust to an apartment in Budapest, which was under the current possession of Yelena Belova and Natasha Romanoff. Ingrid chased Romanoff and Belova on the rooftops before she fell down several stories high and broke her leg. When Romanoff tried to reason with Ingrid, Ingrid told her that Dreykov was forcing her against her will before he commanded her to commit suicide.[1]
