- "Dr. Bruce Banner, the human hiding within the Hulk, fell from the stars to warn humanity of imminent danger."
- ―Uatu[src]
The Infinity War was the galaxy-wide conflict for the Infinity Stones. The conflict began when Thanos initiated his plan obtain the stones to complete his quest for the extermination of half of all life in the universe. However, he was infected with the Quantum Virus following his arrival on Earth, a virus which already spread across the planet and turned millions of humans into flesh-eating zombies. Thanos was eventually defeated by the Zombie Outbreak Survivor Group with T'Challa giving his life by trowing him into Wakanda's Vibranium core killing him and destroying the Infinity Stones.
Background[]
By the time Thanos had killed most of the Asgardians aboard the Statesman, Earth was ravaged by a zombie outbreak that infected most of the Avengers, who spread the virus across the world, thanks to Janet van Dyne biting her husband, Hank Pym.[1]
War[]
Attack on Greenwich Village[]
Hulk was sent to Earth, and crash-landed in the New York Sanctum as Bruce Banner. He found New York City appearing deserted, confusing Banner. Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian arrived on Earth, and Banner attempted to summon the Hulk to fight off the aliens, but Hulk refused to emerge. Maw began to say that Banner would die, but got cut off as he and Obsidian were attacked by Iron Man, Wong, and Doctor Strange. At first surprised about how brutal they were being, when the dust settled, Banner was surprised to learn that the heroes had become zombies and had zombified Maw and Obsidian. The zombies attacked Banner, who was rescued by Wasp and Spider-Man.
Meanwhile, Thanos traveled the galaxy and obtained five out of the six Infinity Stones.[1]
