The Infiltration into the Zodiac Storage Facility was a mission undertaken by Peggy Carter in order to retrieve the Zodiac.
Background[]
- "Agent Flynn, sir... it's been three months now... and I've yet to have be sent to my first assignment."
"Peggy, relax... war is over. We'll handle the rough stuff." - ―Peggy Carter and John Flynn[src]
Peggy Carter began working for the Strategic Scientific Reserve in the United States of America once World War II ended. Her co-workers and especially her boss, John Flynn, were very sexist and never gave her any work. They even said she was only there because of Steve Rogers. One day when Flynn was out, Carter saw a mission report and decided to engage.[1]

The Infiltration into the Zodiac Storage Facility was a mission undertaken by Peggy Carter in order to retrieve the Zodiac. Peggy Carter walked with a briefcase into the Zodiac Storage Facility. She punched out a few guards and threw another one through a window. She then handcuffed another guard to a pipe and asked him how many men wrre left: two. She then told him to start screaming. When the two arrived to the screaming, she defeated both of them and drilled a hole into the vault door.
She then threw a gas grenade into it and put on her gas mask. Suddenly, she was attacked from behind by a third, bigger man. She struggled to beat him, but eventually stabbed him. She stole the Zodiac and left, but not before berating the apprehended man for only saying there were two men.[1]
Aftermath[]
- "Agent Carter, it is my honor to inform you that you are going to run S.H.I.E.L.D.. And I'd also like to assist you in carrying your personal items down to your car."
"Thank you, Agent Flynn, but as has always been the case, I don't require your help." - ―John Flynn and Peggy Carter[src]
The following morning, John Flynn berated Peggy Carter for her actions, but suddenly got a call from Howard Stark himself, who informed him that Carter had been chosen to work with him on a new project: S.H.I.E.L.D..
Knowing it would make him feel humilliated, Stark told Flynn that he would be the one to deliver her the news, insisting in remarking that he was honored by the fact and offering his assistance.[1]
