The Infiltration into the Gordon Hotel was a mission undertaken by the Runaways and Livvie in order to collect evidence against PRIDE and prove Darius Davis' innocence in Destiny Gonzalez's murder.

During the time he was running away from PRIDE, Alex Wilder made an alliance with Darius Davis, a former friend of his father Geoffrey, and eventually befriended him as well.[4] However, Davis eventually chose to return Alex to his parents, obtaining the ownership of the PRIDE Construction Site from Geoffrey. Nevertheless, Geoffrey was unaware of his wife Catherine's own plan, who ambushed and murdered Davis at the Gordon Hotel, so that he could be blamed for the death of Destiny Gonzalez which the Runaways were accused of.[5]
Catherine's plan was soon jeopardized by Livvie, Davis' sister-in-law and Alex's former girlfriend, who sought to clear her brother-in-law's name by providing an alibi for him. Catherine, who was alerted about this by Flores, ordered AWOL to threaten Livvie to silence her. However, this caused Alex, who was present at the shooting, to be even more determined to bring his parents to justice, even though he believed that Davis had been killed by Geoffrey instead of Catherine. Alex thus decided to bring the Runaways in a mission to collect evidence against his parents.[6]
Infiltration[]

Using their Rolls-Royce car which they parked away from the building, the Runaways and Livvie approached the Gordon Hotel and entered through the service entrance, taking advantage of the distraction of the security guard and avoiding the other employees as well as the concierge. They then took the elevator, as Alex Wilder planned on infiltrating into the penthouse suite which was likely to be unoccupied. Alex was able to successfully hack into the door's systems, enabling the teenagers to enter the room.
Alex quickly set up his computer equipment to hack into the Gordon Hotel's surveillance systems, hoping to find evidence that his father Geoffrey had been in the hotel to murder Darius Davis. While Alex worked on his mission, Nico Minoru and Molly Hernandez decided to take a walk out of the room, while Chase Stein and Gert Yorkes stayed, but quickly ended up arguing when Stein found out about Yorkes' wish to go to Smith College in Massachusetts, which she had never told Stein.
Contrary to what Alex thought, the penthouse suite had to be occupied by a couple of newlyweds, causing a member of the hotel staff to come inside the room and prepare it for the customers. Upon seeing her arrive, Stein and Yorkes were able to pose as the people the hotel was expecting, claiming that they arrived early and embarrassing the coordinator with their argument, causing her to promptly leave. However, she reported the encounter to a colleague of hers, who understood that the Runaways had intruded as the hotel had been warned about them by the LAPD.
In the hotel room, Alex was able to hack into the surveillance system, but could not find any relevant footage on the day Davis had been killed since they had already been erased by PRIDE. Livvie then suggested looking into the cameras of the stores in the hotel's lobby, an idea which proved to be successful as Alex quickly spotted Flores and AWOL on the records. However, Alex was surprised upon realizing that it was her mother Catherine who had come to the hotel and likely killed Davis, and not Geoffrey as Alex had thought.[6]

Before the Runaways could fully process their discovery, they were alerted by Nico Minoru and Molly Hernandez, who had overheard the employees discussing their presence in the Gordon Hotel, that they had to leave the room immediately. The Runaways thus quickly packed up their equipment and left, only to confront the hotel staff in the elevator, forcing them to run to the stairs. Hernandez barred the door behind them, but since she feared that the staff would catch up with them anyway, she decided to remain behind and allowed herself to get captured to buy some time for her friends.[6]
Detective Flores, who later failed to keep Hernandez in his custody, warned PRIDE about the infiltration and informed them that the Runaways were collecting evidence against them regarding the death of Darius Davis, which prompted Victor Stein to suggest creating weapons designed against their children to ensure their ability to defend themselves.[7]
Having collected evidence against his parents, Alex Wilder decided to bring them to justice and send them to jail for good, and decided to set them up for a crime just like his mother Catherine had framed Davis. He therefore contacted Davis' wife Tamar, hoping to reclaim a gun he knew had been in Davis' possession and had been used to commit murder,[8] and later used it to frame his parents, causing them to be arrested by the LAPD.[9]
