The Infiltration into Yuri Klementiev's Yacht was a mission undertaken by Natasha Romanoff using intel acquired from Sofia, in order to retrieve bootleg Stark Industries weapons technology.
Background[]
Sofia, a huge fan of Black Widow, became disgusted when Romanoff joined S.H.I.E.L.D.. Thus, she framed a murder on her and then challenged her to a challenge. If Sofia wins, she gets the Black Widow name. They met in Sochi, but Phil Coulson sent two agents. Thinking Romanoff brought company, Sofia killed the two men and dropped Romanoff into freezing cold water, causing hypothermia. Coulson helped her out and gave her a new lead.[1]
Infiltration[]
Black Widow posed as a model, Marya Konn, and arrived at a yacht where she met Yuri Klementiev, who said he didn't recognize her. Romanoff said she was a hand model, to which Klementiev rudely remarked that he was surprised as it wasn't her best feature. Romanoff arrived at the bar to see Gennady Markov, a fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who had been stationed undercover for weeks. Afterwards, she planted a smoke grenade in the vents to make it seem as if there was a fire. She defeated the guards on got into a room where she found a man. She subdued him by flirting with him. He gave in and explained his employer was Justin Hammer and he was going to get a lot of money. Romanoff zapped him, took his intel, and left. When she came upstairs, she found Sofia holding Markov at gunpoint. She then shot him in the head when Romanoff refused to give the information.[1]
Aftermath[]
Black Widow jumped into the water after Sofia threw Gennady Markov overboard. She swam down to him, only to find that he was already dead. When Romanoff emerged from the water, she found that Sofia was gone with the information. However, Romanoff set up a tracker to find Sofia, vowing to avenge the three fallen agents.[1]
