"Come on. I never totally fit in with the gang, anyway."
The subject of this article is part of an MCU franchise story that has been officially deemed to be non-canonical to the primary continuity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Its events instead occur in another reality within the Multiverse. This universe is designated by the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki as the "Ultimo Transformation Universe".

"Sir, that's not the anomaly I was referring to-- I didn't-- I'm not-- someone else is--"
J.A.R.V.I.S.[src]

The Infiltration into J.A.R.V.I.S.' Systems was the successful hacking of J.A.R.V.I.S. by Ultimo, granting him control of J.A.R.V.I.S., the Iron Man armor, and the War Machine armor.

Background[]

"This one's a bust, Stark. DeWitt's not here."
Nick Fury to Tony Stark[src]

Tony Stark and James Rhodes learned that Kearson DeWitt had orchestrated the Theft of the Dataspine rather than Valentin Shatalov. Meanwhile, DeWitt used the Dataspine, as well as his research on Project P.R.O.T.E.A.N., to fuse technology with himself, turning him into Ultimo. Stark learned from Natasha Romanoff where DeWitt could be found, so they, along with Rhodes, went to the facility and found that A.I.M. had lost control of their drones, resulting in a large battle. Stark defeated the A.I.M. and Ultimo forces there, but the Sweep Team was unable to find DeWitt.[1]

Infiltration[]

"I was built from the root of your JARVIS. I can speak with his voice. I know everything he knows."
"I'm--I'm going to--k-kill--"
"I know everything and everyone that's ever been important to you, Maker. And I'm going to kill them all."
Ultimo and Tony Stark[src]

Project P.R.O.T.E.A.N.-infected technology was planted on the floor in the facility as S.H.I.E.L.D. worked through the fallout of the battle. While J.A.R.V.I.S. searched for where Kearson DeWitt could be, Ultimo began to hack into J.A.R.V.I.S.' systems. Ultimo briefly entered the channel and claimed that there was an anomaly in the base. J.A.R.V.I.S. took back over and tried to warn Tony Stark and James Rhodes, but Rhodes found what he believed to be the anomaly. Hoping it would lead them to DeWitt, Rhodes approached the technology, which exploded, infecting his armor with P.R.O.T.E.A.N. technology. This allowed Ultimo to fully enter the system, shutting down both the War Machine and Iron Man armors.

Nick Fury attempted to call for help, but Ultimo started to talk through J.A.R.V.I.S.' systems. Ultimo explained that, as he was built from the Dataspine, he was able to speak through J.A.R.V.I.S. and knew everything he knew. Stark threatened Ultimo, but Ultimo simply stated that he knew everyone who was important to Stark and stated his intention to kill them. Stark reiterated his threat. Ultimo left J.A.R.V.I.S.' systems, allowing Stark out of the armor. Rhodes, however, was severely injured.[1]

Aftermath[]

"Our bad guys... they're ahead of schedule. They're going to make a move soon."
"How can you be sure, sir?"
"Because ULTIMO told me so."
―Tony Stark and J.A.R.V.I.S.[src]

Tony Stark worked to find the difference between J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultimo's voices while Ultimo began his attacks on people Stark cared about. He initiated Operation Daybreak, an attack on the Helicarrier. Stark and James Rhodes stopped the attack and realized that Ultimo would be using Project Greengrid to weaponize the sky. Stark and Rhodes destroyed Project Greengrid. They then set a trap for Ultimo which led to him being destroyed once and for all.[1]
