ILM Immersive, formerly known as ILMxLAB, is Lucasfilm's immersive entertainment studio. The company was founded in 2015 as a division of Industrial Light & Magic.
History[]
On October 3, 2019, it was announced that ILM Immersive and Marvel Studios had partnered up to create Avengers: Damage Control, a virtual reality experience game based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe films as part of their virtual reality experience games line known as The Void.[1]
On May 8, 2024, ILM Immersive and Marvel Studios partnered up again and announced What If...? – An Immersive Story, a mixed-reality game spin-off based on the Disney+ TV series What If...?. [2][3]
