The Wrong Path[]
Hugh Goodbody came to Kamar-Taj broken and lost. However, he found peace with the Ancient One and her teachings. Soon, he was able to wield magic efficiently. Eventually, a skilled sorcerer named Kaecilius felt betrayed by Ancient One's drawing power from the Dark Dimension. Goodbody also felt betrayed by Ancient One and joined Kaecilius as they left Kamar-Taj, searching for eternal life with Dormammu.[1]

Goodbody is killed
In late 2015, Goodbody and the Zealots broke into the New York Sanctum in search of a spell. They beheaded the Kamar-Taj Librarian before running into the streets of New York. Suddenly, they were stopped by the border of the Mirror Dimension. Ancient One appeared behind them, bending reality as they knew it. Goodbody charged at Ancient One only to be knocked over by her flying Tao Mandalas. Goodbody went in for a second attack only to be hit so hard by Ancient One's mandalas that he was killed.[1]
