- "Ladies and gentlemen, what if I told you that in just a few short years, your automobile won't even have to touch the ground at all. With Stark gravitic reversion technology, you'll be able to do just that."
- ―Howard Stark
A Hovercar is a personal vehicle that flies at a constant altitude of up to few meters above the ground and used for personal transportation.
In 1943, Howard Stark presented a hovercar at the World Exposition of Tomorrow. The audience was impressed, despite the failure of the prototype. Four years later, the second hovercar was fully operational, and was used by Stark and his friends to close the portal that led to the Zero Matter Dimension.
Many years later, Phil Coulson obtained a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette that he affectionately referred to as Lola. This vehicle was upgraded with technology based on the Stark Hovercar, allowing it to fly, amongst other things.
