Horuz questioned Yondu Udonta as to why he still wanted Peter Quill alive and put a bounty on him for stealing the Orb from them and taking the money for himself, noting that Quill should have never joined the Ravagers in the first place. When Horuz suggested that Udonta was being soft on Quill, this made Yondu threaten Horuz with the Yaka Arrow to have him back down before promising that once they got their hands on Quill, Udonta would kill him himself.
Horuz joined the Ravagers and the Guardians of the Galaxy during the Battle of Xandar, piloting an M-Ship and battling the forces of Ronan the Accuser who intended to use the Orb to destroy the entire planet. While attempting to protect the Xandarians from the attacking Necrocrafts alongside Kraglin Obfonteri, Rocket Raccoon and other M-Ships, Horuz and his co-pilot were killed when one of the Necrocrafts directly struck their ship as their defensive line was being overwhelmed.
- Pilot: Horuz had possessed his own M-Ship by the Battle of Xandar, during the conflict he and other M-Ships formed a defensive line to protect the city on Xandar's surface from dive-bombing Necrocraft, shooting down many in the process before Horuz and his co-pilot were overwhelmed and killed when a Necrocraft destroyed their M-Ship.
