The Avatar was a man who was chosen by Horus as his Avatar and the representative within the Ennead Council.
History[]
Staying on Earth, Horus had chosen his Avatar to operate through him within the Ennead Council. The Avatar was present at the Chamber of the Gods, when Khonshu summoned the Council for a trial on Arthur Harrow, accusing him of trying to release Ammit. The Avatar then allowed Horus to take over his body and conduct a trial, resulting in Harrow being found innocent.[3]
Later, the Avatars sensed the disturbance, as Horus' Avatar questioned what it might be. Yatzil replied that someone was trying to release Ammit, to the Avatar's confusion, and Selim realized that Harrow was guilty all along. Once Harrow and his disciples stepped inside the Chamber, the Avatars confronted him, however, Harrow used the powers of Ammit and killed all the Avatars, before fulfilling his mission and liberating Ammit from her imprisonment.[4]
