- "Less guns, less death. That simple."
"This guy was using bombs, not guns." - ―Stan Ori and Ricky Langtry[src]
Homemade Explosives were a set of bombs crafted by Lewis Wilson to be used in a series of terrorist attacks in New York City.
History[]
Bombings of New York City[]
Lewis Wilson sets off bombs across the city
In the wake of the murder of O'Connor, Lewis Wilson decided to take a pro-active stance on O'Connor's extremist rhetoric against the United States Government's apparent opposition to the Second Amendment. Wilson purchased several supplies at a hardware store and went to the O'Connor Residence where he crafted several bombs.[1]
Bombs were planted by Wilson at the ATF Field Office, 10th Precinct Police Station and federal courthouse. Wilson later detonated these bombs and killed several civilians.[2]
Kidnapping of Curtis Hoyle[]
Curtis Hoyle is left with a bomb on his chest
- "What's the plan here? I mean, how does this end? You gonna wait for the cops to show up? You gonna blow them all to hell? You take on the establishment, kid, that that will not end well. They will find you and kill you before you ever make a dent."
- ―Frank Castle to Lewis Wilson[src]
When Wilson subdued Curtis Hoyle, he strapped a modified M18 Claymore mine on him. Wilson then left Hoyle to be destroyed by it if it were to be triggered by Hoyle himself or by anyone attempting to defuse it. However, after a tense discussion, Frank Castle managed to calm Wilson down, even gaining Wilson's advice on cutting the white wire to defuse the bomb.[2]
Attack on Stan Ori[]
Lewis Wilson takes Karen Page as hostage
- "Whole world thinks we did this together, kid."
"Hey! Hey! Stay back."
"You know, kid, maybe you were right. Maybe you and me, we are the same. Maybe this is the way it's supposed to end. Just... just you and me, though, right? Just you and me, and a bomb." - ―Punisher and Lewis Wilson[src]
In order to assassinate Senator Stan Ori, Wilson infiltrated the Royal Hospitality where Ori was. Wilson used a set of explosives to destroy the door to the room. The explosion caused minor injuries to Ori and Karen Page and distracted Anvil guards while Wilson attempted to shoot Ori. However, he was stopped by Castle, forcing Wilson to take Page hostage, revealing a set of explosives attached to him.
Lewis Wilson is forced to blow himself up
When Castle approached the pair in the basement, he secretly hinted that Page should cut the white wire linked to Wilson's explosives. After Page managed to cut the wire, Wilson attempted to detonate the bomb, but he realized that it had been deactivated. After locking himself in a walk-in freezer, Wilson re-activated his explosives and detonated them, killing himself in the process.[3]
