The Holo-Map Projector[1] is a device used by Star-Lord to locate the ruins of Morag. It was capable of scanning and projecting holographic historical records as reconstructions of how a scanned area was like in the past.
History[]
The Broker gave Star-Lord the Holo-Map Projector to scan and recreate the surface of the now abandoned planet Morag, showing the structures and life-forms that once populated the planet.[2]
However, his main purpose was to locate the extremely valuable item known as the Orb, with the Holo-Map Projector revealing its location inside a building. As soon as Star-Lord reached the building, he turned off the device.[3]
Capabilities[]
This device projects holographic historical records, mapping past structures and activities onto present reality by emitter projects virtual blue holo-maps. Peter Quill used it in the ruins of Morag’s main city to locate the Orb inside a long-abandoned temple.[1]
