Once William died, Henry was forced by Kingpin to move back to Tamaha where he did in dirty work. Eventually, Maya returned to Tamaha, trying to destroy Kingpin's empire. Henry originally did not want to get involved but started helping when he was kidnapped himself. He then worked with Maya to take down Kingpin and the Black Knife Cartel.
Biography[]
Working for Wilson Fisk[]
Helping Family[]
- "After your father died, I tried to get out. Fisk threatened to kill me if I did. So... I came back here and did his dirty work."
- ―Henry Lopez to Maya Lopez[src]
Henry Lopez grew up with his brother, William Lopez. He lived in Tamaha for a short while, owning Black Crow's SkateLife, before moving to New York City. Upon hearing of William's wife's death, Henry offered William a job in New York City. William accepted as Chula Battiest wanted the family out of Tamaha, blaming William for the death of her daughter. [2] In 2021, Wilson Fisk had William killed and as a result, Henry tried to leave Fisk's reign. However, Fisk threatened him and forced Henry to move back to Tamaha to run Fisk Shipping.[1]
Return of Maya Lopez[]
- "You want me fixed... or gone?"
"Let’s start with fixed." - ―Maya Lopez and Henry Lopez[src]
In 2025, Henry was working at Black Crow's SkateLife when he saw Maya Lopez at the counter. He stopped and motioned her to follow him. Henry walked up the steps to the speaker as he danced to the music, preparing to start "red light, green light" for the skaters. Henry told the skaters to go while Maya remarked how the song has been playing since the 1990s. Henry said that people still smile while hearing it before he told everyone to stop for the red light. Maya then asked to talk in private, so Henry told everyone to start again, then took Maya to his office.
In the office, Maya remarked how Vickie Tyson sucked, but Henry said he was alright. He was a pain but worked with Henry for many years. He then noticed Maya had an injury and asked if it was a bullet or blade. When Maya said it was a bullet, Henry called over a friend, Gretchen Sarnoff, to help stitch up Maya's wound. Henry helped translate while Sarnoff talked but got confused when Sarnoff started using medical terms. He then told Maya that if you want a body fixed or gone, you call Sarnoff. Maya asked if he wanted her fixed or gone and Henry said they are starting with fixed then going from there.
With Maya stitched up, Henry took her to a water tower at Fisk Shipping Yard. They climbed up to the top where Henry unwrapped a telescope and told Maya to look through it. The telescope was pointed at Bonnie at the Tamaha Fire Station, which annoyed Maya, who pointed the telescope at another area, telling Henry to look. Before looking through, Henry said that if Bonnie found out Maya was back and did not come to see her, it will break Bonnie's heart. Maya claimed that her feelings were not her business, but Henry disagreed.
Henry then looked through the telescope to see that Maya pointed it at the Fisk Shipping Yard. He looked at her in annoyance and said how he figured she needed more from him than stitches. She asked for just one shipping car to send Kingpin a message. However, Henry refused, saying he will not bring a war to Tamaha or the people he loved. Maya simply said that Kingpin had his run and it is now time for a queen. Henry then backed away, saying he never saw her and they did not have this conversation.[2]
Talking with Chula[]
Later, Lopez was at Black Crow's SkateLife talking to Vickie Tyson, who told him that he could handle the big stuff but needed trust. They were interrupted by Chula Battiest, who approached Lopez. He asked if there was some birthday party he was missing, but Battest just wanted to talk. At a booth, Lopez asked if Battiest was okay, but she got to the point, saying Maya Lopez was back. Lopez asked if she came by to see her, but Battiest told him that was unlikely. She then asked what Maya was after.
Lopez said she would not want to know and it was nothing he could help her with. Battiest talked about Maya's influence, worried about how she could easily sway Biscuits. Lopez lied to Battiest, saying to his understanding, she was just passing through. Battiest hoped that was the case and remarked how she also hoped Bonnie did not find out Maya was back as her heart had already been chopped in two. Lopez said they were both grieving. Battiest then got up to leave but not before telling Lopez to make sure she was in fact just passing through town.[3]
The Start of a War[]
- "You seem to have forgotten that people close to you are the ones that get hurt."
"And who’s that, exactly?" - ―Henry Lopez and Maya Lopez[src]
The next morning, Lopez was taking a shower when he got a call. He answered the call only to hear that one of the shipment containers from his Fisk Shipping Yard blew up in the New York City lot. Lopez sped over to the yard and met with Yolanda and Russ who told Lopez that they all followed their routine and every stop did their work the same as usual. Lopez then realized that congainer DX-9 was the one that blew up. Lopez got serious and told everyone to keep their mouths shut as he will take the fall.
He then texted Maya Lopez to meet with her. Maya responded simply saying that they hit her and she hit back. Henry said she could not take on Wilson Fisk alone but Maya told him that they could not do much without their armory. Henry angrily arrived at the Battiest Residence to find Maya sitting on the roof, eating. Henry asked what she was doing and Maya responded sarcastically, saying she was eating breakfast, which is the most important meal of the day. Henry ignored her saying how she had no idea what she has done and is now starting a war. Maya claimed there was already a war but Henry told her he did not want New York problems coming to Tamaha.
Maya claimed her plan is being followed perfectly but Henry told her that was chaos. Maya refuted that it was power. Henry told her that sounded like Fisk, prompting Maya to ask if he was against her. Henry simply said that all he knew is that he had to clean up her mess. Before leaving, Henry said that the people close to them always get hurt.[3]
Kidnapped[]
- "There’s still a chance for you to get out of this alive. You really think he’s gonna pay you and then just let you walk out of here?"
- ―Henry Lopez to Vickie Tyson[src]
Lopez went back to Black Crow's SkateLife where he was betrayed by Vickie Tyson, who wanted money for capturing Maya Lopez. Henry was then tied up and watched as an unconscious Maya was tied to the ceiling. He watched further as Maya fell to the ground and was taken into the closet. Later, Henry heard knocking as Bonnie wanted to talk to him. Henry was untied to steer her away. He talked to Bonnie, saying that he was pretty busy, but Bonnie said she just had a question. As Henry told her to come back tomorrow, he fidgeted his hand to get her to notice.
He made an excuse that the IRS was auditing him while he secretly signed to Bonnie to leave. Bonnie saw this and obliged. As Bonnie left, Tyson angrily tied Henry back up as Henry denied knowing that Bonnie was going to come around. Soon, Bonnie was captured and tied up with Maya. Still apprehended, Henry tried to ask Tyson to smooth things out with Maya. henry then realized that Tyson called someone. Tyson simply said that he was not taking orders from Henry anymore, leading henry to say there is still a chance to get out alive as whoever was called will kill Tyson.
Soon, Bonnie was tied up with Henry as Tyson's contact, the Black Knife Cartel arrived. Henry watched as Zane noticed him and called out his name. Henry told Bonnie to be quiet while he talked. Zane asked how he got tied into it, but Henry refused to answer as Zane asked where Maya was. Zane then had his men kill Tyson as he was tired of him. Zane approached Henry, wanting to kill him too as he figured maya was not actually there. However, the music started playing, leading Henry to say the circuit breaker was in the laser tag area.
Henry was led to the circuit breaker in order to shut it off. As they approached, Henry was slammed into the wall as Walker tried to shut off the music, only to be electrocuted. Henry laughed at the sight of this before being hit with teh bud of a gun and knocked down. When Henry got up, he was led to the middle of the rink and held at gunpoint along with Maya. Zane then went to kill them both before getting a call. He answered it and argued before calling his men off.[4]
Helping Maya Lopez[]
Agreeing to Help[]
- "Look tonight things caught up to us both. If the offer still stands, I’m helping you."
- ―Henry Lopez to Maya Lopez[src]
The Lopezes regrouped in Henry's office as Maya Lopez asked what just happened. Henry asked which part, the part where they were kidnapped or the part where they almost died because of the bounty on Maya's head. Maya said they would not be alive if Zane had not called off his men. However, Henry told her that there was only one man who could do that and it was Kingpin. Maya claimed she had killed him. Henry then got close and told her that things caught up to them both and it was time to stop it so he will help her.[4]
Worried about Maya[]
- "Please tell me you’re not that stupid."
"Just because you don’t think I can–"
"I know you can. That’s what scares me." - ―Henry Lopez and Maya Lopez[src]
Henry had to close Black Crow's SkateLife for "renovations" and started cleaning when Maya Lopez arrived, telling him that Kingpin met with her and offered her "queenpin". Henry asked if she was that stupid to take that. Maya said that was not for him to say when he does not know if she can do it. Henry told her that he knows she can, that is why it is scary. He then told her that he is fourty-five and alone because Kingpin had taken everyone away from him.
He did not want Maya to become him. Maya brought up how Henry left her in New York and she was not okay. Henry apologized for this, saying he was confused and scared. Back in the office, Henry was talking to Maya when she suddenly fell to the chair in a trance. Henry rushed her over to Chula Battiest's house for help. Maya woke up and saw where she was, asking Henry what happened. Henry told her that Battiest could help her with whatever was happening. Henry waited until Maya came back out. he asked how the session was, but she told him it was exhausting. He then returned to the skate park and cleaned up.[1]
Ending the War[]
Lopez was called by Biscuits about troubles at the Choctaw Nation Powwow. Lopez quickly arrived at Haskell County Fairgrounds and called Biscuits, asking if he had any word from Maya Lopez. Biscuits told him no but there were many sketchy men in the area. Lopez told Biscuits it was going to be dangerous and asked if he had a weapon. Biscuits told him he had something better. Lopez hung up and hid his gun from a dancer, smiling as she walked by.
As the attack from Kingpin's men ensued, Lopez scouted the area and eventually found Zane on the roof of an RV, looking around. Lopez watched as Zane took out an RPG. Without detection, Lopez quickly screwed a silencer onto his pistol and pointed it at Zane, who looked up from his scope once seeing Lopez. Lopez winked at him before shooting Zane once in the chest, killing him. While dying, Zane shot a missile into the air, making it look like fireworks.[5]
Family[]
In the following days, Lopez had finally gotten free from Kingpin and went to Chula Battiest's house with Biscuits and Bonnie. He watched as Biscuits told a funny story while playing with Billy Jack. Suddenly, Maya Lopez emerged from the corner. Lopez watched as Battiest approached her granddaughter and hugged her.[5]
