The Helstrom Residence was the house in Portland, Oregon, where the four members of the Helstrom family resided: Victoria, her husband Marduk and their children Daimon and Ana. The house was abandoned by the family after Marduk abducted Ana and Victoria was committed in a psychiatric hospital.

Home of a Murderer[]

Marduk Kurios, a Demon with the appearance of a human being, lived in this house of Portland with his wife Victoria and their two children Daimon and Ana. However, he would frequently leave the house due to his activities as a serial killer. On one occasion, he brought home a pin that had belonged to one of his victims and gave it to Ana, which greatly angered Victoria as she had understood who her husband truly was.^[1]

Eventually, Marduk Kurios decided to make his daughter Ana a part of his criminal activities, and thus abducted her to take her away with him. Daimon and Victoria Helstrom attempted to prevent Marduk to leave, but Marduk pinned Daimon on the floor and wounded him using his dagger, although the blade was shattered in two pieces in the process. Marduk also violently pushed down his wife Victoria when leaving the house. As he left with Ana in his car, Daimon and Victoria attempted to chase him on foot, but soon had to give up, remaining alone at the house.^[2]

Traumatized by the event, Daimon hid the fragment of the dagger in the house's fireplace,^[3] and obsessively cleaned up the floor that had been tainted with blood,^[2] while Victoria scratched the face of Marduk from all pictures he appeared on. Over time, due to Marduk's earlier assault, Victoria also became possessed by the demon Kthara. Victoria and Kthara fought for the control of the former's body, with Victoria compulsively writing in a secret journal at her desk, causing her to neglect her housekeeping tasks. As a result, the house became increasingly dirty, filled with thrash and invaded by cockroaches.

Feeling that his mother, who could not accept the idea of her daughter being gone and constantly repeating that she would return, Daimon had a group of Behavioral Health Department employees come to the house so his mother would be committed to a psychiatric hospital. Since Daimon could not remain alone at the house, the Helstrom Residence was eventually abandoned.^[4]

Following the Helstrom family's departure, the house came to be owned by different families over the years. Years later, Daimon Helstrom decided to return to his childhood home to retrieve the fragment of the dagger he had left hidden in order to use it against Kthara. He thus drove there with Gabriella Rosetti, and they found out that the house was being sold, with an open house being organized.

Posing as a young couple, Helstrom and Rosetti visited the house, and quickly spotted several members of the Blood who were after Helstrom due to his heritage. Knowing that the Blood was also looking for the dagger, Helstrom decided to lure them into a trap and ambushed them in a barn located near the house. Once he defeated the Blood, Helstrom then returned into the house and reclaimed the dagger from the fireplace.^[3]
