Heimdall is the Guardian of the Bifrost Bridge.
Biography[]
Frozen[]
Heimdall stood guard at the Himinbjorg while Thor was presented with Mjølnir. He noticed clouds form over the sky as Thor gained control over thunder.[1] Heimdall defended Asgard a group of Frost Giants entered the kingdom. Although he managed to kill two Frost Giants, he was frozen, allowing them to pass him. He was later unfrozen.[2]
Helping Thor[]
Heimdall was later appraoched by Thor and refused to send him to Niflheim. Thor said that he would go regardless, and Heimdall explained that he wanted justice as well for getting frozen. Thor told Heimdall that it was not his fault, and insisted that he would go to Niflheim. Heimdall walked away, saying that Thor might go, but he would not send him. He said goodbye to Thor, telling him to do what he must.[2]
Mangog's Attack[]
Heimdall and Sif defended Himinbjorg during Mangog's attack on Asgard, when they were joined by Thor, who was happy to see them alive. Heimdall was relieved that they could take the fight to Mangog, and planned to guide Thor through the city as he went to the top of the Royal Palace of Valaskjalf for a better view. The three shouted that their actions were for Asgard, along with the Einherjar present, and Heimdall stayed behind as the rest went into action.
As Thor reached the top of the palace, Heimdall told him that Frost Giants and Infernir were still attacking. He encourage Thor to keep fighting as he took down an army, and advised Thor to unfreeze and blow the Gjallarhorn to lift the people's spirits. After Thor defeated a Jötun army, he left the area. However, Heimdall saw the Jötuns return and threaten the Einherjar, so he told Thor to help them. Heimdall then told Thor that the Gjallarhorn was under attack and to defend it. Once the horn was sounded, the Jötuns tried to destroy it, so Heimdall told Thor to stop them.[2]

Powers[]
- Absolute Sense: Heimdall was able to sense everything happening in the Nine Worlds. However, this sense was able to be blocked by Loki. He was able to use this sense to communicate with Thor from the Himinbjorg while Thor was fighting Mangog's armies.
Abilities[]
- Master Combatant: Heimdall fought off two of Mangog's armies while defending the Himinbjorg.
Equipment[]
- Hofund: Heimdall used his sword to control the Bifrost Bridge. He also used it in combat against the Jötuns.
- Gjallarhorn: Heimdall defended the Gjallarhorn from the Jötuns and had Thor sound it.
