Clint Barton was an excellent archer who became an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as a member of the Avengers. When Loki invaded Earth with the Chitauri, Hawkeye became a victim of Loki's mind control. While controlled, Hawkeye knocked out Nick Fury and attacked Captain America but was eventually freed. When he came to, Rogers told Fury to guard the Tesseract while he and Hawkeye helped the rest of the Avengers to defeat Loki once and for all.[3]
