History

Inside S.H.I.E.L.D.

After the World War II, numerous HYDRA operatives, including Arnim Zola, were recruited into S.H.I.E.L.D., as a part of the Operation Paperclip. However, S.H.I.E.L.D. was unaware that Zola and other members spearheaded the resurrection of HYDRA inside S.H.I.E.L.D. for the sake of their quest for world domination.
