  • In the comics, Highly Engineered Robot Built for Interdimensional Exploration is a robot which was created by Mister Fantastic and a Xandarian named Xar to aid in the search for Galactus. He helped as a guardian and companion, particularly to Mister Fantastic, until his inhibitor and censor chips were removed, granting him freedom to join the A.I. Army. He initially appeared as a replacement for Human Torch in the 1978 animated series The New Fantastic Four, before being introduced in the comics.
