The events of this storybook have substantial differences with the events depicted in the film. Following the Attack on Berhert, Rocket and Yondu are held captive in a cage while remaining on Berhert rather than being taken to the Eclector to be killed before instead being imprisoned on the ship. Groot is also never captured by Nebula and the Ravagers. The artwork in the storybook also depicts Ego's Ship as flying in a vertical position rather than in a horizontal one. Therefore, this storybook has been determined to hold a non-canon status per our Canon Policy.
