Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout! is an attraction at Avengers Campus, California.
Plot[]
In a livestream, Apheta introduces the Collector to a group of Terrans who are visiting for a V.I.P. tour of the Tivan Collection. The Collector welcomes his guests and shows off some of his exhibits, including the Watcher Informant. He shows off one of his exhibits, the Guardians of the Galaxy. Gamora blames Peter Quill for their capture, but Quill gets distracted by the design of the sign showing off their name and gets disappointed when his display lists his real name rather than Star-Lord. Drax the Destroyer's name and title are both listed, but Gamora gets upset to learn that she is listed with "Daughter of Thanos" as an alias.
Rocket and Groot complain about the rest of the team's arguing. This leads Quill and Drax to laugh at Rocket's official name being listed as "Pet Rodent." The Collector explains that each of the Guardians is in a powerful cage powered directly from his generator and that none of the Guardians can escape, lest they fall into a pit of spikes. The Guardians begin arguing again as the Collector has Apheta scan the V.I.P. guests and give them passkeys. He apologizes for not being present in person, promising to see his guests soon as the video ends.
The guests enter the Collector's office, which Rocket breaks into and interrupts the Collector's explanatory video. He prepares the V.I.P.s, saying that the Collector is going to put the guests in an elevator which Rocket is then going to hijack to take to the generator control room, which Rocket intends to blow up so that the Guardians can reunite with Mantis and leave. He asks the guests to board the elevator since he does not have clearance to do so and steals something from the Collector as the V.I.P.s enter the gantry lift.
As the gantry lift starts moving, Rocket unplugs it and replaces it with a music player, playing "Burning Love" and encouraging the V.I.P.s to put their hands up. The elevator goes up to the generator control room, which Rocket successfully deactivates. The elevator then goes to where the Guardians are being held, where the V.I.P.s see them landing safely. However, Drax is grabbed by an Abilisk. He gets swallowed by a Frost Beast while the elevator briefly leaves that floor, but escapes and kills it just as the gantry lift returns. The elevator briefly goes above the roof of the Collection, allowing the V.I.P.s to see outside the building, before falling back down.
The elevator returns to the Guardians, where the V.I.P.s see that Mantis reached them and is asking if they are ready to leave alongside Cosmo the Spacedog. Quill and the rest of the Guardians thank the V.I.P.s for helping them escape as the elevator falls down again. The Guardians thank the V.I.P.s again over the loudspeaker as the guests exit the elevator.

Trivia[]
- The queue for the ride contains a set of "mysterious artifacts" which are described as having originated from a civilization found "at the bottom of a Terran ocean." These artifacts reference the underwater city of Atlantis from the comics, with Talokan being the counterpart of Atlantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- Many of the Asgardian and Dark Elf artifacts seen in the queue for the ride are reused props from the Innoventions exhibit Thor: Treasures of Asgard at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
