The Guardians of the Galaxy were a team of intergalactic outlaws who teamed up together to protect the galaxy from threats. The Guardians were all killed by Ultron while attempting to protect Sovereign.

Age of Ultron[]
Star-Lord, Gamora, and Drax the Destroyer were present at Sovereign when Ultron attacked the planet during his universal conquest. The Guardians attempted to fight off the Ultron Sentries to no avail as Ultron used his Infinity Stones to destroy Sovereign as well as the Guardians.[1]
