- In the comics, Eric Williams was a Maggia enforcer, who was approached by his brother Simon to get his revenge on Tony Stark and his company. When Simon became Wonder Man and supposedly died by saving the Avengers from Baron Zemo, Eric received a mechanical scythe from the Tinkerer to defeat the Avengers.
- Grim Reaper's helmet from the comics can be spotted in the WandaVision episode Don't Touch That Dial, during an animated intro sequence.
