The Gravity Device[1] was a machine incorporated into Ultron's wrist that could generate a small burst of gravitational energy that would pull objects towards itself.

Battle at the Salvage Yard[]
Ultron incorporated the Gravity Device into his wrist prior to traveling to the Churchill in South Africa to acquire Vibranium from Ulysses Klaue. When he was confronted by the Avengers, Ultron briefly stalled for time to distract Tony Stark while the Gravity Device charged up. Once the Gravity Device was fully charged up, Ultron suddenly activated it and pulled Stark towards him while Steve Rogers and Thor were attacked by Ultron Sentries. Once he had pulled Stark close enough, Ultron blasted him back against the wall of the ship. Stark and Ultron then flew into each other and engaged in a brawl in the air throughout the ship. Ultron attempted to use the Gravity Device again to throw a piece of the ship's wall at Stark, but Stark was able to resist the impact and continue fighting Ultron.[2]

Wolfgang von Strucker initially created the Gravity Device in his lab at the Hydra Research Base, intending it to be used to generate a small burst of gravitational energy that would pull objects towards it. However, von Strucker was never able to get the device to work properly, leaving it incomplete.[1]
Ultron collected the Gravity Device from von Strucker's lab and completed the device, enabling it to function as intended. Ultron intended to utilize the device as part of his plan to cause total human extinction, incorporating it into his wrist prior to traveling to the Churchill in South Africa to acquire Vibranium from Ulysses Klaue. When he was confronted by the Avengers, Ultron was locked in combat with Tony Stark and decided to deploy the Gravity Device to gain an advantage over his evenly-matched opponent. Ultron charged up the Gravity Device on his wrist and pulled in some nearby equipment from the Churchill's wall, causing it to crash into Stark. However, Stark quickly recovered and threw one of the equipment pieces back at Ultron before continuing to fight him.[1]
Design and Capabilities[]
The Gravity Device was capable of generating a small burst of gravitational energy, pulling objects towards it. Despite its small size, it was capable of pulling the Mark XLIII Iron Man Armor towards itself and was strong enough to rip off a piece of a ship's wall by itself. The device glowed a light blue color when activated.
