Goose was owned by Mar-Vell, who decided to give her to Peter Quill and Hope van Dyne. Goose was taken to the Pym Residence to be offered to the kids. She was brought before Quill and van Dyne as Mar-Vell explained that she thought they might like to have Goose. Although Quill initially said he was more a dog person, van Dyne instructed him not to refuse a free cat, unaware of Goose's true origin, so they accepted her.[1]

- Flerken Physiology: As a Flerken, Goose can access a the pocket dimension inside her body, which she uses to store tentacles for offensive capabilities.
- Tentacle Extension: Goose is able to open her mouth very widely, allowing her tentacles to exit her body and latch onto things.
