- "Green Goblin, impaled by the glider he flew around on."
- ―Sandman[src]
The Goblin Glider was a weaponized aerial device utilized by Green Goblin, which he used as his primary method of transportation.
History[]
Alternate Universe Versions[]
Used by Green Goblin[]
Green Goblin's Death[]
In another universe, once Norman Osborn became Green Goblin, he used the glider during his confrontation with the Spider-Man native to his universe. However, Osborn was accidentally killed by his own Goblin Glider.[1]
Multiversal Crisis[]
Arrival in an Alternate Universe[]

Green Goblin arrives by riding his Glider
In 2024, Doctor Strange cast a spell to make everyone forget Peter Parker was Spider-Man. However, when the spell was corrupted, it affected the Multiverse and brought people who were aware of any Parker's identity as Spider-Man from those universes to theirs, including Green Goblin. His armor and his glider, which he was utilizing preceding his death, were transported as well.[1]
Alexander Hamilton Bridge Battle[]

Green Goblin tries to attack Spider-Man
- "I saw another one. On the bridge. He was like a... like a flying green elf."
- ―Spider-Man to Doctor Strange[src]
Green Goblin used his glider to find Doctor Octopus and that universe's Spider-Man on the Alexander Hamilton Bridge and attempted to charge at both of them, but they were suddenly teleported away.

The Goblin Glider is hidden
Later, Green Goblin used the glider to fly around a military research facility outside New York City. Afterwards, having taken control of his body and mind from Green Goblin, Osborn hid the glider in an alleyway and abandoned it.[1]
Escape from Spider-Man[]

Green Goblin resumes using the glider
However, once Green Goblin took over again, he summoned the glider to Happy Hogan's Condominium and rammed it into May Parker, fatally injuring her in the process, before using it to escape the condominium.[1]
Battle at Liberty Island[]

Green Goblin slices off Octavius' tentacle
Later, Green Goblin found out that Spider-Man was at the Statue of Liberty with the Macchina di Kadavus. He used the glider to fly to the Statue and snatch the Macchina out of Doctor Strange's hands. When he attempted to fly away with it, Doctor Octopus grabbed the glider, only for Green Goblin to use it to slice one of Doctor Octopus' Tentacles. Green Goblin then deployed one of his Pumpkin Bombs into the Macchina, which destroyed it and unleashed the unstable spell.

Spider-Man disabling the Goblin Glider
This caused a Multiversal rift and the scaffolding on the Statue of Liberty to fall. When Green Goblin saw Spider-Man's attempt to save Michelle Jones, who had fallen, Green Goblin used the glider to knock him out of the way. Furious over everything Green Goblin did to him, Spider-Man disabled the Goblin Glider with a Pumpkin Bomb, causing them both to land on the fallen statue of Captain America's Shield. Upon recovering from the crash, Spider-Man began to violently punch Green Goblin.

Spider-Man attempting to kill Green Goblin
Spider-Man then lifted the glider to impale Green Goblin, only to be stopped by the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. After coming back to his senses, Spider-Man, who had come to understand that Osborn's actions were not his fault but his alter's, ended up administering the Anti-Goblin Serum to Green Goblin, ending his control on the scientist for good. As Osborn was cured, Strange cast another spell that teleported all the universe-displaced back to their universes.[1]

Capabilities[]
The Goblin Glider is a weapon, a means of transportation, and a storage unit all in one. A number of Pumpkin Bombs are stashed in the machine, which Green Goblin can retrieve at any time. He can also control the Glider remotely to either summon it or attack his foes with it.
At the front of the Glider are sharp prongs which Green Goblin can use to impale his enemies, usually with lethal results. He impaled and killed himself while trying to murder the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and managed to fatally injure May Parker. They can also slice metal since he used it to slice off one of Doctor Octopus' Tentacles. Green Goblin himself was almost killed by his own glider once more by a vengeful Spider-Man, but was stopped by the elder Spider-Man.

Trivia[]
- The Goblin Glider first appeared in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man from Sony Pictures Entertainment, although its design in that film is slightly different than the one in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The new design has the glider's blades being shorter and farther apart on the wings, the front of the central thruster glowing green instead of blue, and the larger purple panels on the wings being smaller and more spread out.
