The Glider Harness is a small hang glider disguised to resemble a backpack and used to provide a fast escape route to S.H.I.E.L.D. specialists during missions.

Global Incorporated Harness[]
Global Incorporated, an enterprise based in Dubai, developed a Glider Harness and, at the request of its owner, challenged the technology of the Tony Stark's Iron Man Armor: Mark VI.
Iron Man raced against two pilots wearing Glider Harness over the streets of Dubai, tricking the pilots into colliding with many obstacles while Stark saved a woman endangered by the competition.
To avoid endangering more civilians, Iron Man shot a non-lethal projectile with adhesive restraints, making the pilots lose control of their harnesses and crashing against a sign of Global Incorporated.[1]
S.H.I.E.L.D. Harness[]
During an undercover mission to approach arms dealer Mikhail Fjodorov in one of Moscow's hottest nightclubs, Agent Natasha Romanoff was forced to flee when the target was killed by a woman that called herself Sofia.
In case of emergency, a supply drop was left on the roof of the club, and Romanoff headed there after being compromised. When she found the package, more men tried to capture her, but she jumped over the ledge to use the glider and to flee the scene.[2]
