Major Glenn Talbot was an officer in the United States Armed Forces who led the hunt for Hulk. He became obsessive in his hunt and sought the death of Hulk, resorting to violent methods such as kidnapping Betty Ross. Ross' father led an attack on Talbot, prompting him to use a Hulkbuster armor to fight back. However, Hulk stopped Talbot and threw him into the air, where the armor detonated, killing Talbot.

Glenn Talbot was a major in the United States Armed Forces that viewed both Bruce Banner and Hulk as a menace and threat to mankind. Prior to Banner becoming Hulk, Talbot would often visit him and Betty Ross in their lab at Culver University and flirt with Ross, much to Banner's annoyance.[1]

Missile Strike[]
Talbot went to New York City to hunt down Hulk and met with Emil Blonsky, to whom he expressed his concerns about General Thaddeus Ross' obsession with capturing Bruce Banner alive. He argued that it was putting their men at risk, but Blonsky insisted that Ross' strategy was solid. Blonsky asked whether they needed Banner alive to tell them what he did, and Talbot replied that an autopsy would tell them what they needed to know.

Hulk was temporarily weakened by a sonic attack, Talbot ordered his men to take him down. A lieutenant informed Talbot that there were a lot of civilians in the area, but Talbot stated that collateral damage was acceptable. Hulk defeated the soldiers and destroyed their transmitter, so Talbot ordered the soldiers to fall back and claim that Hulk caused the damage.
Talbot ordered a missile strike on Hulk and that Blonsky be sent in. Blonsky thought it reckless to fire missiles into a civilian area, but Talbot was unphased and ordered them to take him down. Hulk put an end to the missile strike when he destroyed the radio tower which contained the targeting computer that controlled the missiles. Blonsky attempted to defend the base, but Hulk easily defeated him, so Talbot sarcastically congratulated him.[1]
Tricked by Rick Jones[]
Rick Jones discovered that the military attacks were the work of Talbot. As part of a plan to discredit Talbot, Hulk got the attention of several news helicopters by causing damage. He led the helicopters to an army barracks in Central Park, where Talbot mistook it for an enemy chopper and ordered that it be fired upon. The missile barely missed the helicopter, and word soon spread of Talbot's blunder.
His reputation sullied, Talbot went into hiding. Hulk began tracking his transport helicopter and Talbot called in a defense team, who distracted Hulk while he escaped. Talbot then captured Jones and ordered Banner to surrender. Hulk fought his way through Talbot's forces and rescued Jones, taking him safely to a hiding place.[1]

Thaddeus Ross later transported an experimental weapon himself since he did not trust Talbot to do the job. Hulk went to steal the weapon, but Talbot's troops swarmed in and stole it first. Hulk chased after them and retrieved the weapon, delivering it to Rick Jones, who destroyed it.

To lure Hulk into a trap, Talbot captured Betty Ross and trapped her in an electrified box. Members of Talbot's unit arrived, one of them in a Hulkbuster armor. As they fought, Hulk destroyed the generators electrifying the box by throwing the Hulkbuster into them. With the box removed, Betty alerted the Hulkbuster of her identity. The surprised Hulkbuster released her from the cage and went to inform Thaddeus that Talbot had captured his daughter.
Talbot is killed when his Hulkbuster armor explodes
When Thaddeus Ross learned that Talbot had kidnapped his daughter, he and his forces surrounded Talbot's base. Ross ordered Talbot to give himself up, calling him a disgrace. Talbot emerged from the base in Hulkbuster armor and attacked the Strategic Operations Command Center. Jones warned Hulk that Talbot's suit was powered by a mini nuclear reactor that could destroy the entirety of New York City if detonated. As Hulk, Banner fought Talbot. Talbot activated his suit's self-destruct sequence, intending to kill Hulk with no regard for his own life or any civilians. To prevent collateral damage, Hulk grabbed Talbot and threw him into the air where his suit exploded, killing him.[1]

Talbot was a determined man who was willing to let people die if it meant he accomplished his goals. He was not afraid of civilians or targets dying, and believed that an autopsy would reveal the same information as an interrogation of Bruce Banner. The Hulk was able to use this to his advantage by tricking Talbot into firing surface-to-air missiles at news helicopters. It was easy for Talbot's anger to overcome him, and by the end of his hunt for Banner, he was willing to fight the United States Army and Hulk just to capture Hulk.

- Hulkbuster Armor Capabilities: Talbot donned a Hulkbuster armor in order to fight off the Army and Hulk, which enhanced his ability to fight in several ways.
- Superhuman Strength: The armor gave Talbot superhuman strength, enough to be able to stand up to the Hulk in a fight and for Hulk to be affected by his punches.
- Superhuman Durability: The armor withstood several punches from the Hulk, and stayed together even as Hulk defeated Talbot.
- Power Suit: The armor had the ability to fire repulsor blasts strong enough to destroy several tanks at once and an entire Army barracks, as well as hurting the Hulk. It also allowed him to create an energy-based force-field and expand it to weaponize it.

- Expert Tactician: Talbot was trained to plan military attacks and planned several attacks on the Hulk, successfully ambushing him multiple times.
