Ghost Rider's Chain is a mystical weapon found by Robbie Reyes in Hell.[1]
History[]
Reyes' Possession[]
In the few weeks he was trapped in the obscure region known as Hell, Robbie Reyes entered in possession of a mystical weapon capable of being charged by Ghost Rider's fire allowing Reyes to increase his reach when fighting his enemies. Reyes also learned how to use his chain to open Inter-Dimensional Portals.[1] During his time in Hell, the Spirit of Vengeance took full control of Reyes engaging in a fierce carnage against other sentient beings in Hell using the new chain they had found.[2]

Ambush on Aida[]

Ghost Rider sensed a tear in the Dark Dimension when Aida used the Darkhold to create a human body for herself, Ghost Rider took his new chain with him to assist his former allies in the final battle against Aida.[3]
Ghost Rider then went to his Hell Charger and drove to find and attack Aida and the Superior and recover the Darkhold. Ghost Rider briefly fought both villains using his chain which managed to hurt Aida. Reyes was unable to retrieve the Darkhold from Aida who used her new powers on the vigilante. Upon figuring out that she had disappeared, Ghost Rider roared in anger.[2]

The Ghost Rider then took his chain to the Attack on the S.H.I.E.L.D. International Inquiry where he used the chain to fight Aida's LMDs side by side with Quake, ripping apart the Superior during the fight. Reyes then gave his chain momentarily to Phil Coulson for his planned ambush on Aida. After Aida's defeat at the hands of Coulson, Ghost Rider took the Darkhold with him and opened an Inter-Dimensional Portal with his new chain to Hell, where he entered after saying goodbye to his S.H.I.E.L.D. allies.[2]

In an alternate universe, a samurai version of Ghost Rider wielded a version of the chain as one of his primary weapons, alongside a katana.[4]
Capabilities[]
Ghost Rider's Chain is a mystical weapon that can be engulfed with Ghost Rider's demonic flame and be used to attack his opponents increasing the Rider's reach. The chain mostly works as a heat conductor, being able to burn opponents on contact and destroying Inhumans' regeneration powers as Aida was unable to recover from the Rider's attack. The flames conducted by the chain seemingly increase the kinetic energy of the chain, allowing it to pierce and burn through an LMD.
When swung in a circular motion whilst charged the chain is able to create an inter-dimensional portal similar to the one's conjured by Sling Rings and the Inter-Dimensional Gate.[2][1]
