Gerald meets Flash Thompson at the airport
Gerald was tasked by Flash Thompson's parents to bring home their child from the airport. Gerald waited in the airport, holding a sign with Thompson's name on it. When Thompson finally arrived, he asked Gerald if his mother could not come to the airport too, and the butler shook his head in confirmation.[1]

- The actor who portrays Gerald was initially cast as Flash Thompson's father. During production, Tony Revolori suggested to Chris Buongiorno that he be his butler instead. Both versions of the scene were shot and the butler one was chosen because they thought it was funnier.[2]
