The Gamma Bomb was an explosive device filled with gamma radiation developed by Bruce Banner for the United States Army.

History[]

Gamma Accident[]

Developing weapons for the United States Army, Bruce Banner developed a Gamma Bomb using gamma radiation. Though developed for the United States Army, the bomb accidentally exploded, catching Banner in the blast. The radiation from the bomb turned Banner into a gamma irradiated creature called Hulk.[1]

Capabilities[]

As an explosive device, the Gamma Bomb is capable of a massive explosion, with its gamma radiation base causing anyone who is caught in the explosion to absorb the radiation.[1]

Trivia[]

  • In the comics, Bruce Banner developed the Gamma Bomb for the United States Army. However, while testing the bomb, Banner noticed that Rick Jones had wandered into the testing site. Attempting to save Jones, Banner was caught in the explosion, turning him into the Hulk.
