Trivia[]
- In the comics, Galactus is a cosmic being who consumes life energy throughout the universe, primarily from planets. He has had many heralds, with one being Silver Surfer. He was originally a mortal from the sixth incarnation of the universe, who survived the end of time and was reborn in the seventh incarnation of the universe. Neither strictly good or evil, Galactus has a close association with the Fantastic Four.
Behind the Scenes[]

Galactus vs. Mighty Thor
- In storyboards for Thor: Love and Thunder, there was a scene of Mighty Thor battling Galactus that did not make it to the final movie.[4] This would have been Galactus' debut into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- In concept art for Omnipotence City, Galactus can be seen among the gods in an outfit resembling his early comic designs. His throne is shaped like his helmet.[5]
- Kevin Feige shared a clip of Galactus from Fortnite Battle Royale with the crew of The Fantastic Four: First Steps as a reference for how he wanted the character to be depicted in the film.[6] Ralph Ineson had a purple and blue armor accurate to the character's comic book gear made for him to wear as director Matt Shakman felt that it was important "someone [was] there embodying the part" beyond just using motion capture to create Galactus, performing lots of photography tests on Ineson to figure out the character's looks to verify if his scale was correct as if they were filming Mount Rushmore.[7]
