Frost Goliaths were powerful Frost Giants armored in ice.
History
Thor battled a Frost Goliath during the Frost Giant attack on Asgard. He defeated it by dismantling its icy armor. Afterwards, he was joined by Sif and two Einherjar guards, when the Jotun revealed that it was still alive and attempted to kill one of the guards. Sif saved him by pushing him out of the way, but was fatally stabbed herself. As Thor cradled the dying Sif in his arms, the guards killed the Jotun.
Thor fought another Frost Goliath when the Frost Giants and the Fire Demons attacked Asgard after Mangog opened portals for them.[1]
